COOK COUNTY LOAM

POLL ON WEDNESDAY.

RATEPAYERS' APPARENTLY SATISFIED,

Apparently the Cook County ratepayers are satisfied with the county loan proposals which are to be submitted at the poll on "Wednesday next, as n meeting of ratepayers convened for yesterday morning in the . County Chambers did not eventuate, only members of the council being m attendance. That Cr. D. J. Parker has confidence in tho voting of the riding he represents is indicated by the following letter which he lias forwarded to the chairman of the Council, Mr G. AI. Reynolds:— , “In regard to the riding which i have the honor to represent, X think from tho various letters, articles and other comments which have appealed in the local papers recently, that the majority ol ! the ratepayers will understand the position, and I loci confident to leave the matter in thenhands. They gave a very encouraging vote hist year, and I trust they wi'll again look at it from a broadminded point or view and go straight out for the loan.”
