The Inter-State Labor Conference unanimously decided in favor _oi the Commonwealth constitution being altered to provide that no Australian can bo conscripted, lor military service overseas. „ , , Mr Theodore (Queensland) had previously moved that Australia is not to be committed to military action in anv circumstances by any authority whatsoever without the expressed approval of Parliament, except in cases of emergency and where tamo does not permit of a referenuutn of the people. The voting being cvcu, Mr Iheodore’s motion, in accordance with the standing orders, was declared lost. XL P.A.
