EVERYBODY’S THEATRE

“ANNA CHRISTIE”—THUS. INCH SPECIAL.

A splendid' holiday bill is that now showing at Everybody’s Theatre, where the top-liners are “Anna CDuistie,” the Tlios. linee special, and Larry Semen in “The Gown Shop.” The great production “Anna Christie” is adapted' from Eugene O’Neill’;; successful stage play; it portrays a girl, deserted by her father, trapped into a confession of the life into which her father’s spurning of responsibility forced her. When she tells her lather, who thinks her a lovely Madonna, and her sweetheart, who has. fallen in love with her “'because she .is the first decent woman he ever has known,” just what she lias been, the scene works up to a dramatic fury. Blanche Sweet, George Marion and William. ltusse.il- are the actors in the powerful sequence. Larry Semon in the comedy “The Gown Shop,” leaves nothing' to he desired in the way of excellent comic, stunts, good acting, and elaborate settings. Larry Semon comes back again with a whole bunch of new tricks, including a young crocodile which will bite the plumpest ankles among the ladies. Semon aptpears at his best in these two reels of fun'. “The Fire Brigade,” another mirth-provoking two-reel comedy, English and Bathe Gazettes are the supports. The programme will bo shown again' to-night.
