A CONFIRMED THIEF'. ■ AUCKLAND, (Jet. 29. At the Police Court, William Richard Since, 41, pleaded guilty to four charges of theft, involving a total sum of £l47' 2s 6d. It is stated that accused admitted that, while employed as an accountant, he converted some of the money to liis own l use. At tho seoond place of employment lie followed tho same procedure:. Accused’s record showed a 15 months’ sentence in London for the theft of £BOO9 and, in 1922, a sentence in New Zealand for the theft of £7OO. Accused was sentenced to six months on each of the charges, the terms to bo consecutive. He was also admitted to probation for five years.
