SORDID AND OTHER CHARGES AUCKLAND, At the Supreme Court Wallace Hugh Plunket Ross, aggd 23 years, charged with carnal knowledge of a girl aged 15 years and 4 months, at Waihi, was sentenced to 12 months' reformative treatment. Whango Earama, charged with indecent assault, was found not guilty. WELLINGTON. Oct. 29.

At the Supreme Court Henry' Harris Baber Tunniciiffe, charged with theft and failing to account for moneys, was found guilty', and sentence deferred. Sir Robert Stout said the prisoner seemed to ho a hopeless case. He was only' recently' out ol prison. The trial of George Edward Bellinger, on a lengthy list of charges of breaking and entering, is proceeding.

At the Supreme Court George D’avid Jury for an atempt to commit an unatural offence, was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. Hugh Thohiss Gorman McCauley, who pleaded guilty of unnatural offences, was sentenced to five years’ reformative treatment-.

At the Magistrate’s Court George D. Lockhart was charged with fraudulently removing stamps from postal packets with intent to uso them, again. There were five) charges, the value of the stamps amounting to os 6d. The accused was convicted and fined £5 on one charge, and convicted and discharged on "the otliers.
