GRAND JURY’S RIDER AT AUCKLAND.
FLOGGING FOR BESTIALITY
AUCKLAND. Oct. 28. At the Supreme Court, the Grand Jury returned true bills in the two murder charges and carried the following rider on the completion of their duties i “That in view of tho bestiality shown in many of the cases presented to the Grand Jury it he a recommendation that tho Judge’s power to inflict the punishment of flogging be moro frequently exercised.”—P.A.
