AYOAIAN SUICIDES AT AYANGANUI. AA'ANGANUI, Oct. 28. Agnes Frances Benefield, 41, wife of Percy Benefield, of Aramoho, was found dead in a room this afternoon. A. gas tube connected with a gas burner, which was turned on, was found near the body. Deceased was apparently in her usual health in the morning.—PA.

CYCLIST OYER-RUN BY OAR

ROTORUA, Oct. 28

A Alaori, Robert Jacobs, while riding a bicycle in Tutan&kai St. yesterday afternoon, was overrun by a car owned and driven by A". J. Isdale. He was taken by ambulance to King George Y. Hospital where it was found six ribs were broken and he had severe contusions of the legs, together with shock. His condition is serious.

MASTER PRINTER SUICIDES

HAMILTON, Oct. 23

AYhen employees of Bond’s Printing Company entered the composing room this morning, they found the principal, Frederick Bond, lying dead on tlie floor with a gas tube close to his mouth. Deceased was aged 41. He was a prominent and popular business man and a keen golfer. He had been in indifferent health for some time.

MOTHER’ CHARGED AYITH MURDER.

DUNEDIN, Oct. 28. The inquest concerning the death of a male infant found in a diawer in a 'housemaid’s room at the Grand Hotel was concluded tin’s morning. As a. result of the evidence given, a warrant was issued for the arrest of the mother, Alarguerita Elizabeth Hand, on a charge of murder. Afedical evidence showed that, the infant’s nec-k was encircled by a piece of clothing, tightly constricting it. The coroner’s finding was that death resulted from asphyxia, caustd by strangulation.

FATAL FALL OF EIGHT FEET. AUCKLAND, Oct. 28. Alfred George Lambert, laborer, aged 30 1 years, single, was. killed through a fall from a ladder at a building in course of erection, at Anzac Avenue. He was standing on the ladder about eight feet from the ground when he overbalanced, striking his head on the ground and apparently dislocating Iris neck. Death occurred in a few minutes.—P.A.
