‘IN THE NAME OF THE LAW” “THE VICTOR” AND BABY PEGGY.
Few motion pictures have ever served to spread the lesson of thrift as well as “In the Name of the Law” which captivated crowds at Everybody’s on Saturday both matinee and night. A policeman on the force in San Francisco and his wife want to own their own home. After many years enough money is saved. Then comes word that their son Harry at law college has stolen six hundred dollars. To save him a life’s, dream must be shattered. But Harry is cleared of guilt and the old folks get the r homo. There is a world of exciting incidents in the story. But the saving of the policeman and Ids wife — steadily, diligently through the years cannot fail to impress young folk starting out m life. “In the Name or the Law” was produced and directed by Emory Johnson who also plays a leading role. Herbert Raw lin son is the hero of “Flic A ictor,” the Universal prize ring screen" drama, lie steps through the ropes into the squared circle with the poise or a Id arr v Greb and the determined look of a winner. Of course he won, as lie’s the hero cf the play, hut lie c:cl it naturally- and there’s no discounting the skill of his opponent. Eddie Gribhcn. The play is essentially a drama and has plenty of dramatic interest. hub most of its entertainment lies in its humor. Baby Peggy comedy “Caiman Jr.” and the International News are the supports. These attractions will he presented again tonight.
