The girl evidently managed to get through the fence into a paddock, and signs of another struggle could he seen for about another 40 yards. Two spent cartridges were found at the spot, and it is stated that that was the place where the girl was murdered. Bayldon then wrote a letter, jOI the torn up remains of it and a pencil inure found with the cartridge shells.
