- POLL TO BE TAKEN TO-DAY. T[RST FOR TWELVE YEARS. fßy Telegraph—Special Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, July 20. For the first time in twc-lvc years a poll will he taken on Tuesday on the* question of the retention or otherwise of alcoholic liquor in ■•Bellamys,-'' the parliamentary restaurant. The Legislature Act provides that a poll on the question shall he taken the fourth Tuesday alter the close of the debate on the Address-in-ißeply in the first session - of each Parliament. During the last three Parliaments, however, the first sessions have, in <‘t>ch case, been so short that business lias been completed before the rourtii Tuesday after the opening of the session and. as a result, no poll has been taken. The last poll was taken on August 12. 1903. when the retention of alcoholic liquor was carried by 76 votesto 31. Tire details of voting were as follows : LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
