The, Postmaster-General announces t-hat parcels lor soldiers addressed 'to Egypt and superscribed "via Australia” will be- forwarded direct to .Egypt at postage rates of Is ltd for a parcel not exceeding 31b in weight, 2s 7jd exceeding 31b and not. exceeding 71b, and -Is 1 Ll exceeding 71b and not exceeding 111 b. The special postage rates for soldiers’ pa reels at present in force of Is, 2s and 3s for parcels weighing up to 31b, 71b and 3 lib respectively, arc for parcels forwarded via United Kingdom and will be continued.
'J’lie new arrangement has been made after negotiations with the Australian and Egyptian administrations and will avoid the delay on parcels forwarded bv direct steamers to London and thence to Egypt.
