Al FETING OF’ THE ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the Aten's I lathing Sheds Association was held last .evening. Air. H. A. Armstrong presiding over a large attendance of members. The secretary was instructed to write to the Waikamm Reach Improvement Society, tillering suggestions re. the proposed Bench Fete, to he run by the. joint associations. It was. decided to hold the last: ot Hirer) euchre! tournaments in Findlay s Tea Rooms on Friday evening, July HOth. Trophies kindly dona-led by Messrs. Jacobi (Gisborne Hardware Co.) and \Y. B. Miller wa re allotted as prizes for this series. All prizes, including the aggregate one. and the total number of games won by each competitor, will be on view in Air. 11. A. Armstrong’s 'window during the week', commencing Saturday next. A-hourty vote of thanks was passoo to Alessrs. Thos. Horton, Ltd., for their splendid donation of trees implanting. In view of the many calls on the public for patriotic subscriptions, it was decided to hold over the proposed art. union indefinitely. A vote of thanks to the ciiairman eoncltuled a most successful meeting.
