Mako, of tho Richardson lino, left Auckland last evening for Coast bays and Gisborne, and is expected; here early to-morrow. The Union Co.’s s.s. Rosamond sailed last night for Auckland direct, and is expected back in Gisborne on Monday. The s.s. Victoria, of the MuddartParker line, arrives from Auckland this afternoon, and will be tendered on arrival and at 7.30 p.m., sailing hit or for Napier and the Sout h . The Union Co.’s Paloona arrives in the roadstead early this morning, and •will be tendered as usual at- 6 n.m. and 10 a.m. The Paloona will sail for Tokomaru and Auckland about noon.
It is reported that the ferry steamer Awaroa, well known in Wellington harbor, was collided with and sunk by another steamer hi the Yarra river, Melbourne.
