HAMLET" TO BE READ UN J ELY 27.
The Gisborne Shakespeare Club has just issued the following circular letter to its supporters: “Having entered upon its sixth year of the study of Shakespeare's works. the Club beg to intimate that the plays chosen for the public reading this winter are “Hamlet" and “Tlie Taming of the Shrew” : and tins circular is being addressed to those who have more or less regularly attended our readings in tho past, as well as to some, perhaps, who have not. so far patronised our productions, in the hope that this season s performances will he well attended. “Hamlet" will be given on 1 uesday, the 27th inst, “As it- lias been decided to devote any surplus receipts during the war to patriotic purposes, we have the less diffidence m urging lovers ot Shakespeare to promote the work oQ the Club by continuing their subscript.ons. or bv allowing themselves to be enrolled forthwith as honorary members. “The annual -subscription is os. which entitles members to two tickets to each public reading.
