SYDNEY’S WOUNDED SOLDIERS.
GRAPHIC STORIES FROM THE
FRONT,
INSTANCES. OF GERMAN SLJ.MNESS.
(Received. July 19, 8.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, July ID
Altogether there are 160 returnees, the hulk of them being nnedien 1 cases. They are subjected to enthusiastic hero-worship, and their stories add graphic detail to the already cabled accounts of the fighting in Gallipoli, including the impersonation of Australian and New Zealand officers, and other slim tactics employed by the Germans. The men pay a tribute to the high fighting quality of the 'Turks and the splendid' and heroic work of the- ambulance men.
