(To tho Editor.) Sir, —During the meeting of the Hospital Board on Fridav last I mad© use of the word “extravagance” in reference to a request by the matron for new bedsteads. Though the worn was, perhaps, used hastily, still 1 '"’■as not justified in using such a term at all, as the matron is the last person in the world who would advocate any needless expense.
