LEGION OF FRONTIERSMEN.
ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD ON JULY 31.
The annual meeting of C Squadr.m Legion of Frontiersmen, will bo held at the Garrison- Hall at 7 o’clock on July 31. A parade will be held on same evening from 8.30 to 9.30. A full attendance of members is requested. A parade will also be held at Bell’ s store, Mangapapu, at 10 a.m. for troop drill, while a rifle match for marksmanship badges will bo held the same da v at 2 n.m.
'The Otago Mounted troopers’ names that have appeared in the casualty lists—lL Wlute and D. Black—the those of two Invercargill men, and not of the two Frontiersmen who left with Captain Twistl'eton. Frontiersman Claud Williams, who went to London with the idea of, joining the R.A.M.C., after having an interview with a German submarine on the North Coast oj Ireland has entered for a cavalry regiment. Frontiersman Saunders, interpreter on board tho Hospital Ship, writes from Colombo, and sends greetings to the Legion. Evening classes are being arranged for men who wisli to become N.C.O. s. Anyone wishing to join, whether Frontiersmen or not, should communicate with Mr F. E. Gaddum, O.C.
