THE SCOTTISH FAIR.
CONCLUSION ON SATURDAY.
Saturday evening saw the conclusion of t-lio Scottish Fair, which has been running with great success since Thursday. There was a very large number of people presont and great interest was displayed in the various competitions and sideshows. Three coin petitions were held throughout the afternoon and evening, and a ping-pong tourney was also fought out. The prize-winners in the competitions were as follows:: Spelling Bee.—/Standard IV., Zoe Limn 1 ; Standards V. and VI., Vera Willis 1. • Dancing (Hornpipe).—Miss Newey 1, Miss Doris McKenzie 2. Baby Show, up to- six months.— Baby S. E. Gleeson; up to twelve months, Baby Moxon 1; Baby Edwards 2: bottle fed babies. Baby Bruce Cox 1; Baby Murray McGibbon 2. The winner of the ping-pong tourney was Mr Tom Hay, with an unbroken succession of winning games. ■The prize for this championship is a gold medal. 'l'be City Band rendered some excellent numbers, which were greatly appreciated..
