THE WEATHER.
Present indications arc for variable breezes, easterlies changing to nortlierlies, northward of Cook Strait and northerlies prevailing and increasing shortly. Elsewhere fair to cloudy and somewhat milder weather is probable generally, but there is a prospect of an unfavorable change following in the early part of next week. The. barometer is likely to fall after about 21 hours.
