FRIG HTFUIi M ISIIA R AT WOODVILLE. (Press Association Telecrram.j WOOD VILLE. July 14. A frightful accident happened last night, after six, on the Mastcrtou road, a couple of miles from Woodville. A horse belonging to Mr Williams, manager of the Riverside Cheese Factory, bolted and ran into a motor car coming into town, and the shaft of the trap went through Mrs Hosting, who was in, the car, killing her outright. Deceased lived in Pitt Street, Palmerston, and was about 3d years of age. No further particulars are available. DRUNKEN MAN WITH A REVOLVER. ’ AUCKLAND, July 14. A man who gave his name as Chas. Norman was arrested last night on a charge of drunkenness and firing a revolver on the (Stanley Day wharf. It is stated that- about 7.5 p.m. accused was standing on the end of the wharf firing a revolver in all directions. Two young men saw a flash and a bullet 'went within a foot of their heads. The mail who fired the shots was dressed in a Salvation Arms uniform. A new five-chambered revolver and a number of cartridges were found in his possession. EDDY FOUND ON A REACH. WANGANUI. Julv 14. The body of a man believed to lie ' Michael Farrell, contractor, of Wlntngamomona, was found on the beach three miles south of Wanganui River to-day. ’Farrell had been missing since June 32. The body of the man found on the beach at Wangaehu, near Wanganui, has been identified as that of Michael Farrell, a married man, and a laborer by occupation, residing near Stratford. Deceased fell into the river while crossing tilie railway bridge on his wav to work at Whangamomona.
