The fortnightly stock sales were hold at tha Mata'whero Saleyards yesterday in the presence Uf a large attendance. There were ahoutTs,soo sheep and 300 head of cattle yarded and bidding was brisk throughout the day! Wethers were in good demand, realising from 14s Od to 25s for good sorts.
Messrs Williams and Kettle, Murray, Roberts and Co., and the Loan c and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., yarded 12,500 sheep and 150 head ol cattle. Their sale was commenced on fat sheep.
