HOCKEY.
YESTERDAY’S MATCHES. There wasi a fairly good attendance of spectators at the Childers Road Reserve yesterday afternoon, when tiirce game were played, two ladies' matches and one men’s match. The results of the games were as follows: Kia Toa beat Te Rata by 7 points to 1. The players who scored were, for Kia Toa, Misses Hih (2), FairlSe" (3), C. Baty (1), and Pere •(!) 1 and for Te 'Rata, Miss East (1). Mr Pollock officiated as referee. High School A beat the Allies by 3 goals to 2. Misses Johansen, A. Matthews, and N. Kay scored one point each for High School, and Miss B. Pearce scored twice for the Allies.Mr Olsen refereed. 3?he men’s match, Rovers' v. Star, resulted in a draw, two goals being scored on each side. Tnrei scored both goals for Rovers, and Morse and Roderick gained one each for Star. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. The following team will represent Mercantile against West End on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Reserve:— Fromm, Hudson, Stevenson, Carmine, Mac, Morgan, Kimber, Eton, Clare, Sweet, Mackny; emergencies, Colley, Bishop.
