With reference to the 100 doctors that tlie New Zealand Government has been asked by the Imperial authorities to supply, the Minister of Public Health states that, owing to the number of medical officers that will be required for our own reinforcements during the next twelve months, and the shortage that would be occasioned j n the Dominion hv sending many more doctors to the front, he is unable, except under very special Circumstances, to recommend the Minister of Defence to sanction applications from the Dominion to join the Royal Army Medical Corps in England.
