DUNEDIN, June 1. Tlie annual meeting of the Otago Educational Institute opened to-day. It- was decided to ask the Minister to add to the conference of inspectors to bo held early in 1910, representatives of headmasters, infant mistresses, sole teacher’s, and assistants. A resolution was passed to the effect that, in case of transfer of teachers brought about by falling attendance or other adverse circumstances, removal expenses lie paid by the Department. Mr. F. Lamank was elected president for the ensuing year. '
