ACCUSED HUPE PLEADS GUILTY. [Per Press Association.] PALMERSTON N., April 3. The case against Edgar Hupe, charged with setting fire, to the Royal hotel, only included the last outbreak. Evidence was given by George Searle (licensee), Mrs Searle, the foreman of tlie Five Brigade, boarders and others. Detective Quirke produced a written statement by accused, admitting having started the last outbreak by throwing a match on the bedding. He denied knowledge of other outbreaks. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to Wellington for: sentence. '
