VERDICT OF MANSLAUGHTER. [Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 7. At the inquest on Ernest Thomas Saunders, whose death was supposed to be the result of a blow he received at Sumner from Alexander Kidde>. the-jurv returned a verdict amounting to manslaughter against Kiddey, who was thereupon arrested, and was subsequently charged with manslaughter. He was remanded to February 13th. Bail was allowed accused in £IOO and two sureties of £6O each.
