PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED. SUB-INSPECTOR DWYER RAISED IN RANK. (Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 6. The following promotions in the po- ‘ lice service arc announced: Sub-ins- | pector Dwver, of Napier, has been made an inspector? Chief Detective McGrath, of Wellington, has been raised to the rank of sub-inspector, and will bo transferred to Christchurch. He will be succeeded in his present position by Detective Broberg, with the rank of chief detective. Station-Ser-geant Hendry, of Auckland, has been promoted to be sub-inspector and will remain in that district. Sergt. J reanor, Napier, lias boon made station ,* sergeant, and will take np dut\ m , Ancklaud. The promotions will be as from the Ist inst. j
