LONDON, Feb. 1. There was an excellent sale of wool at late rates.

Messrs Miller ami Craig -report having sold by auction yesterday, at the residence of Airs. Cuff, Whataupoko, one o-ycar-oid pony for £B, horse, trap and harness £lB, and a cow in full profit £lO. A quaiititv of furniture and effects was disposed of at -satisfactory prices. CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALES. [Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 2. The fourth sail-es of the current •season’s series -was held this morning. There was a fair muster of buyers, although the attendance was -not nearly so large as at sales hold ca-rlior in the season, several of the American buyers who previously materially assisted to give stimulus to"the market were absent. The aggregate catalogues totailled '1697 bales, compared with. 7700 bales for the corresponding sale last year, and 8202 at the fourth sale held -in 1907. .
