The Federal Prime Minister, commenting on Air. AVatson’s views on ■the centralisation of Government, states that unification is not within the bounds of practical politics. He thought, however, that extension of the powers of the Federal Government in certain directions was desirable, if not absolutely necessary. STATE GOVERNORS’ SALARIES. THE PROPOSAL FOR REDUCTION. ADELAIDE, Jan. 30. In reference to the suggestion made to reduce the salary of future State Governors, the Minister of Lands states that Sir G. R.
