HORSE SALES.
M essrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., yarded about 40 horses of various descriptions at their weekly, sale om Saturday. There was a good demand, hacks selling from £3 to £B. harness horses from £8 to £l9. The good hack lluatawai was knocked down For £2O. A team of six draughts, with waggon and harness, was disposed of privately. PRODUCE MARKETS. Messrs F. S. Malcolm and Co. report the- following prices realised at their produce sales on Saturday Fowls Is lOd to 2s Gd, chickens lOd to Is 6d, roosters Is 6d to 3s 6d, ducks Is Gd to Is 10d.. eggs Is 7d to Is Sd, butter lOd, cabbage 2s Gd to 2s 9d doz, onions Id lb. 10s Gd ewl, best potatoes from £5 to £7 10s ton, rhubarb 4s 6d doz bundles; small vegetables in good demand at usual prices. Fruit was iu large supply and sold as follows: Plums to 2£d lb, anuleis 3s Gd case 2d lb, pears lb, marrows and pumpkins 4s doz. Eggs are scarce and supplies are Avantod in large quantities. Messrs Miller and Craig report the following prices realised at their produce sales on Saturday: Fowls 2s Id to 2s 3d each, chickens Gd to 9d, ducks Is 7d to Is 9d, eggs Is Gd doz butter Gd to lOd lb. iwtatoes jd lb os sack, onions Id lb. apples 3s 6d box and Id lb, marrows Is Gd doz, cabbage 2s doz, plums Lid lb,, peaches 4d lb. lemons Gd doz.
