SMART, GRAZING .RUNS
Two grazing runs in tho Wairoa County are being offered for selection on lease for a term of 21 years, with right of renewal, by the Hawke’s Bay Land Board. Run 94 comprises 2988 acres,- and the half-yearly rental is £37 7s. The altitude is 1500 ft to 8500 ft above sealevel. About 1200 acres of mixed tawa bush, rimu, rata, kahikatea, etc, with thick underscrub; remainder high birch-clad country ;fairly easy slopes on the east side of the Aliitu•kuliia range, intersected by deep gullies; steep and broken country in the west side of the range 'Well watered; soil varies from inferior to fair; sandstone and papa foundation Distant about, forty-live miles from Waive® v, twenty-six miles by coach, road, remainder by formed pack-track, the last three miles being under construction
Run 95 comprises 2379 acres, for which the half-yearly rental is £29 15s. The-altitude is from 1500 ft to 3500 ft above sea level. About 850 acres of mixed tawa bush, rimu, rata, kahikatea, totaiu, etc., with thick underscrub ; remainder high birchclad country, easy slopes, intersected by deep gullies. Well watered; soil varies from inferior to fair; sandstone formation. Distant about fortyfour miles from Wairoa, twenty-six miles by conch road, remainder by formed pack-track, the last two miles being under construction. Applications for both runs will dose at the local Land Office on Wednesday. February 17, at 4 p.m., and applicants will be examined on Thursday and FridKy. February 18th and 19th, at the Courthouse, Wairoa, anil the ballot will be held at Wairoa on February 20th, at 2 p.m.
