DANGERS OF CYCLE-RACING.

~ f [To the Editor.] 'Sir,—l see .in answer to my complaints of cyclists racing 911 roads, M,r 11, Anderson seems to discredit that they could race seven abreast. Docs he-think that my lady friend and my husband couldn’t see if these were seven, or three abreast?. They were, counted before teaching and after passing us. Perhaps Mr Anderson is interested. He may have hecn one of the party for all I know, as they kept their heads down and raced for dear life and never budged one inch. I hold up my hand iwhen near and called to tlieih when they passed. I had to .get oil' the road. The 'Sunday before the last the three abreast did get off the road when they found they had frightened my horse. 'Often Cyclists tide close to my horse’s head, coming up behind her and making her shy. As Mr. Anderson says, the toad is bumpy and you can cosily got a spill. I think if cyclists want to race they should ,got a track like they do in other towns. I do not know what the County Council is thinking of to allow racing on roads. I see they fined horse racing which, in my mind, is not so; dangerous to the public as cycle racing, as horses are more frightened of cyclists when racing.—l am, etc., K. WARIBUP.TON.
