The annual ram fair under tbe auspices of the Hawke’s Bliy Agricultural and Pastoral Society was began at Hastings to-day. The entry of rams was -a record, and there was a Urge attendance. Flock rams were irregular in quality, and in eonsequenco prices for them were lower than those obtained last year. A large number were passed in under the hammer, but good business was done privately at prices fairly satisfactory to vendors. In 'Lincoln studs the top price to-dn-y was 42gns lor a Lv>o-.s'hear bred by and sold on account ul -Air. AY. Ga*dsbury, of Mountain and purchased by Air. J. Fleming, oi WoLpuk-urau.
