The question of providing for chronic consumptives was, at the meeting of the Canterbury Hospital Board to-day, referred to the House Committee for consideration, and it nas decided to ascertain from the Health [Department thd number of chronic consumntive cases, in Canterbury for which public provision would require to be inside. It TtfJis stated that the consumption .sanatorium •which the Board takes over early next month, was originally intended onlv for curable cases.
