THE PROJECTED INQUIRY

The Addington inquiry is to be open to the pre.'P and the tribunal, probably consisting of three gentlemen, whose names will be announced in a. few days, is to include two experts capable of forming an accurate judgment upon tlie technical matters likely to come up for coma 1- virm. •‘The Board of Inquiry.’’explained the Hon. J. A. Millar, "must not only be judicial, but must have >i practical knowledge to go thoroughly u-to ihe matter, and report upon any ten edy which mnv he necessary. The exactscope of the order of inference has not yet been finally decided, but I intend making it as wide as possible to deaf with pill charges which have been made without opening >ne dooi to extraneous muter. 1 here v.ill be the fullest inquiry into the charges. I am not going to have r.ny c< unset there, but auv witness may give evidence. It- is practically a Departmental inquiry with independent outsiders on the Board.
