PROJECTED NATIONAL TESTIMONIAL. [Press Association.] AUCKLAND. Jan. 27. The suggestion made some time ago that Air. W. F. Massey, ALP., leader ■of the Opposition, should be -made the recipient of a national te>linioii£V| is assuming concrete 'form. At a numerously-attended m footing lie lid in tlie Chamber of Commeree tqnight, presided over by Mr. D- MJjang, iM'.P., it was decided to lake slejis to present Mr. Massey with a national testimonial, to be 'raised by subscriptions of a shilling and -ii]iwarils, and to invite the co-operation of all interested in the movement throughout the iDominion.- I’lie resolution to that efi’eet was proposed by Mr. Richard Monk, formerly member for Waitemata, seconded by Dr. 'Bamiord, and supported by Mr. J as. Allen, who assured the meeting that the movement would he heartily supported in the south, Messrs E. A\ . Alison, L. R. Philips, and J. .Bollard, M.’sP., and others.
