GISBORNE CLUB

The second round of the Handicap Singles in connection with the Gisborne Bowling Club will close on February 4th. It is hoped that a number of the .games unplaved will be decided to-day. The progress of the Handicap horn's is being delayed through tlic match between Hennessy’s and Corson’s teams, and the Match Committee specially request that this match be plaved off immediately. Mr. LI. Lewis has presented a trophy for the colts’ match, open to this season’s players, for which entries are now being called. Mr. IV. Pottle, President of the Club, who has hitherto presented the trophy for this match., will this year place his prize in the hands of the Committee to be otherwise allocated. • The official score from Wairoa shows that the team from Gisborne played two games in the following order:Gisborne: D. J. Barry. J.'F. Pettno, J. A. Lucas, J. J. Martin . 29, 33, total 62, Wairoa: Smith, Bayliffe, Smith, Somervell 7., Muuro, Wilson, Wilson, and Somervell 9; majority for Gisborne 46.
