LECTURE IN WELLINGTON

WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. Lieut. Knox, R.N., who lias .been conducting a campaign* in New Zealand on behnlf of tho British Navy League, delivered his farewell lecture in the Town Hall to-night. Tilic big building was packed. The Hon. Dr. Find I ay, Attar ney-G eneral, presided, and Ills Excellency the Governor was present. Lieut. Knox gave an interesting 'address on. the objects of the League. It was 'announced by Lord .Plunket that interest ;in the (League hod been greatly stimulated by Lieut. Knox’s visit, five new branches having been formed, laud there having lieon a great acquisition of members. Qn the motion of His Excellency, a hearty vote of .thanks was passed to Lieut. Knox.
