NORTHERN UNION DEFEATS AUSTRALIAN LEAGUERS. (Received January 2d, 12.40 a.m.) [LONDON, Jan. 21. The Northern Union (three goals, three tries) defeated the Leaguers (a goal and a try). Fifteen thousand spectators were present. The Australians were completely outclassed. Their combination was uncertain, whereas the English three-quarters ■were brilliant, and passed with precision and faster than the Australians.
