GISBORNE RIFLES

The members of the Gisborne Idles held mu interesting afternoon’s shooting at the Kaiti range on Saturday. Timro was a handicap match lor four cash prizes, the winners being as follows:—Sorgt. Bait I, Sorgt. Broingan 2, Private Alien 3, Lance-Corporal Harney 4. The .final shoot for the .company s cl ramp ion bolt also took place, ami resulted in a win for Sergeant Ram, with Sorgt. Rrcingan as runner-up. The weather was rather hazy on the range, but some good scores were registered, -and the results at the final were closo, bearing testimony to the excellence of the handicapping of Captain Beere. Another shoot takes place next Saturday, and during the week a number of members will be chosen to go in for practice with a view to the, selection of t'ho team to represent the corps >at the annual Ircntham meeting.
