THE CALIFORNIAN LEGISLATION CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PETITION AGAINST IT. (Received Jan. 24, 4.80 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 23. The Chamber of Commerce committee recently visiting Japan unanimously petitioned . the State legislature to defeat the anti-Japanese Bills, as it was convinced the Mikado’s Government was acting in absolute good faith regarding the restriction, of immigration to the United States.
