CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR Mk HOLIDAYS. POST AND TELEGRAPH DEPARTAIENT.
25th and 26th December, 1908, and Ist January, 1909. ,■ Postal Branch. —Fridays the 2oth December and Ist January (Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) will bo observed as close Un_baturday, tlie 26tli inst (Boxing Day), the Post Office will bo open in all branches excepting tlie Aloney Order and Savings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 Receivers and posting boxes will be cleared on they evenings of the 24th and 31st insts. Mails usually despatched on Fridays m will be closed on Thursday nights, r the 24th and 31st insts, at 7.30 p.m. On Boxing Day, the 26tli inst., the usual despatch of mails np to 8 a.m. will be' made, receivers and posting boxes cleared accordingly. On the 26tli inst. a complete delivery by letter carrier will be made. __On Thursday, the 24th and 31st insts, a clelivery of town letters (including registered) will bo made between 7 and 8 ■p.m. at tlie Post Office wicket. Telegraph Office'—On Friday(Clinstmas Day) Sunday hours will be observed, viz., 9.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 to 5.30 pirn. On Saturday (Boxing Pay) and Friday (New Year’s Day) the office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, and 7 p.m .to 10 p.m. Telephone Exchange.—Special hours will be observed on Christmas Day, viz., 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. only.
