HASTINGS, Dec. 23. The. result of the ballot for Che judge an the North Island band contest in Hastings in 'February is as follows: King 4, Wolf 3, Bentley 2, Mellor 2, Hulse 1; informal 1. There will be a second ballot. Mr W. H. Collingwood, town clerk, was returning officer.
