25tli and 26th December, 1908, and L Ist January, 1909. r~ Postal Branch.—Fridays, the 25th December and Ist January (Christmas Dav and New Year’s Day) Avill be observed as close holidays. On Saturdav, the 26tli inst (Boxing Day), the Post Office will be open m, all branches excepting the Money Order end Sawings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 ** a.m. Receivers and posting boxes will be cleared on the evenings of Thursdays, the 24th and 31st mats. Mails usually despatched on Fridays will be closed on Thursday nights, the 24th and 31st insts, at 7.30 p.m. On Boxing Day, “the 26tli inst-., ■fcho usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made, receivers and posting boxes cleared accordingly. - On- the 26th inst. a complete delivery by letter carrier Avill be made. On Thursday, the 24th and 31st insts, a delivery of toAvn letters (including regisred) will be made betAveen 7 and 8 p.m. at the Post Office wicket.
