POVERTY BAY CLUB.

The first of the races for aliedals presented by Mr. F. 'Harris for the (double soulls were rowed last evening, and resulted as follows:—W. iMcGuffie and .J. iMailone (scr) beat. J. McKenzie land (Daniells (6sec) by a quarter of a length, after lain excellent face. The second race between J. (Stuart and Holscihier (ssec) and A. Pritchard and G. Smith (6sec) was devoid of interest owing to the former crew breaking an oar when both crews were close together. Tonight the races will be continued.
