WATCHING CONGRESSMEN.
PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT’S MESSAGE.

Tho House of Representatives at Washington unanimously referred to a committee the passage of President Roosevelt’s message relating to secret service men, with a view of considering tho expunging of the message. It is expected the Senato will act similarly. It is stated that if the storm bursts President Roosevelt h!as a mass of material as ammunition for the bombardment of Congress. [A cable message received last week staed that members of Congress were indignant at a suggestion that secret service men should be employed to watch legislators, so as to ascertain whether their private acts conformed with their public professions.]
