LOCAL ELECTIONS.
The Harbor Board' elections will take place on February Bth next, the retiring members being Messrs Townley (chairman), J. AVhinray, D. Hepburn, and F. Harris, who were elected by the ratepayers, and tho borough and county" representatives. The Mayor and tho whole of the members of the. Borough Council retire in Alay next, and an election will take place in April. An election will also-he held .in March for 'members of the Gisborne Licensing Committee.
