BOWLING.
THE GISBORNE CLUB,
There was a very good muster of players on the (Gisborne Bowling CSub’s green yesterday afternoon, and a couple of matches in the handicap singles were got off. These resulted as follows : R. G. Crawford (9) 22 beat Simson (1) 18'. T. Clarkson (9) 29 heat F. T. Wilson (7) 20. A number of practice games were also plaved. TURANGANUI CLUB. A good number of players mustered on the green of the Turanganui Club yesterday (afternoon. The first match in the B section-of the handicap pairs was got off. Douglas and J. J. Martin (scr) 33 beat Tholwall and Jeune (13) 23. A meeting of the committee was held during the (afternoon, when Mr. J. J. Martin was .appointed skip of the team to represent the dhib at the Napier tournament. Th© team will be selected in the course of a few days. Severl.il match games in the handicap pairs will be played this afternoon, when afternoon tea will be provided. The final of the handicap fours will be played on Saturday. '
