NAPIER IMPROVEMENTS.
EXTENSIVE LOAN PROPOSALS. [Press Association.] NAPIER, Dec. 8. The Napier Borough Council, at a meeting to-night, again discussed the question of town improvements. At a previous meeting it was' decided to submit to. the ratepayers loan proposals totalling £50,500, made up cf £35,000 for tramways and £15,500 for road works. At to-night’s meeting additional loan proposal© totalling £79,750 were agreed to for subnrsMOn to the.ratepayers, as follows:Destructor and duplication of w atef works £15,000, drainage £35,000, municipal theatre £25,000, park improve neats £3750, fire brigade station £IOOO. The grand total of the pro post Is is £130,000. The council wore r.ot unanimous on some items ui tlio proposals.
