HOLY TRINITY CHURCH.

SALE OF GOODS.

Despite the heavy rain that fell all yesterday afternoon the sale of valuable art treasures and fancy goods collected in various parts of the world by Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Barker, and -donated to the sale of work in aid of the fund for rebuilding Holy Trinity Church, was well patronised. Business was brisk, and the articles offered sold readily, their novelty, quality, and lowness in price being amply sufficient to attract buyers. .Mr. and Mrs. Barker showed exceptional taste in selecting the articles. There were novel curtains in wonderful designs from Egypt, embroidered silk from Japan, carved tables, japanned boxes, handsome Japanese vases, curious toys, and many other articles which, if enumerated, would fill a fair-sized catalogue. The goods were exhibited on three stalls. The china still was conducted by Mesdames C. A. deLautour and Hughes; the carved wood and Oriental goods stall by Mrs. Vincent Barker: the toy and fancy goods stall bv ilrs. H. W. Williams; while Mrs. Gone dispensed afternoon tea. Very satisfactory business was, done at- nil the stalls, and the sale will be the moms of augmenting the church building fund by a substantia.! amount, The sale will be continued tomorrow afternoon from 3 to 5 o’clock.
